What is an IP core in FPGA? An IP (intellectual property) core is a block of logic or data that is used in making a field programmable gate array (FPGA) or application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) for a product.
The good part about the many existing arcade system and vintage computer cores is that they can be ported to many FPGA kits and boards with minimal effort. We would like to thank each and every skilled developer who contributed their original system cores to be usable on the MiSTer system. Without these great people there would be no MiSTer system but only an empty menu with nothing to do. Please take the time to visit each developer’s sites and check out what they’re up to and thank them for their hard work.
