The MiSTer FPGA SDRAM Addon Board is a mandatory expansion board for the DE10-Nano FPGA board. The SDRAM is required by most cores of the MiSTer platform. The vertical version shown pictured doesn’t increase the horizontal dimensions of the MiSTer rig. It also doesn’t cover the FPGA chip and allows better cooling, nor does it blockthe Arduino GPIO, and is compatible with future or custom expansions.
- Works with the larger universal MiSTer case.
- Will not work with the compact MiSTer case.
RetroShop also makes an XS SDRAM board which is shorter that will work the compact case.
If you plan on buying the upcoming AIO daughter board from RetroShop, you won’t need an SDRAM board since the AIO includes onboard SDRAM already.
